A self-taught artist, born in Ukraine, Ana spends most of her time surfing in the ocean and painting. She graduated from Florida International University with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. Ana took as many art elective courses as she could while she studied at the University. She begun painting when she was twelve-years-old. Her pieces stood out, and her professors encouraged her to concentrate on art. At the time she sold photo realistic pieces to private collectors. In early 2015 Ana discovered a new passion – abstract art. This pushed her to dive into the her new-found love for ocean inspired abstracts. Experimenting and trying new things is what she loves most about art. Without a new challenge art is just dull and plain to her. She loves pushing her limits and seeing what she can create out of her comfort zone. The little details and memories she chose to retain while she spent time in the water can be seen in her work. All of her pieces are bits of her and the ocean that surrounds us. Ana’s art is like the ocean – vast, mighty and in a constant state of flux.
